Priors are one of the most well established independent Letting and Estate Agency practices in the City of Brighton & Hove, originally founded in 1923.
Whilst many other agents have come and gone, Priors have maintained a constant position in the local property industry, and have built up an enviable reputation. In recent years we have acquired the property portfolio’s of two other local agencies in order to increase our market share.
Over the years we have sold and let thousands of properties throughout the city of Brighton & Hove and continue to provide an extremely efficient service.
Our offices are situated within a prominent landmark building, which occupies a corner position on Western Road in Hove at the junction with Lansdowne Place. Our Company ethos is to provide an efficient, professional, friendly approach to all property related matters and to ensure this, we employ dedicated experienced and helpful staff who are always on hand to assist whether you are selling, buying, letting or renting.
Mark J Blencowe MNAEA
Partner
Mark has worked within the local property market since 1986 and has a wealth of experience having dealt with the sale and rental of both residential and commercial properties. He joined Priors in 1992 and subsequently became a Partner in the business in 2007. He now solely runs the firm and is a long-standing member of the National Association of Estate Agents.
Claire Peters
Negotiator
Claire has worked within the local property industry for most of her career with roles including property management, administration, sales, and lettings. She joined Priors in 2003 as a negotiator and has built up a wealth of knowledge of the properties within our portfolio. She strives to maintain a good working relationship with clients, tenants, and colleagues.
Jules Cobby
Negotiator
Jules joined Priors in 2018 as our first apprentice. After completing her modules with flying colours, she became a fully employed member of our team starting as assistant administrator, and quickly progressing to becoming a Negotiator. Jules oversees a variety of roles within the office and has been the driving force to update our software system and implement a new website bringing us into the digital world.

Lee Guthrie
Lettings Administrator
Lee joined Priors in 2020 as a job share position in administration. She previously worked in property management for 4 years and has a varied knowledge in all aspects of customer service and administrative work.
Diana Bennett
Lettings Accounts
Di joined Priors in 2008 following a long career in accounts within a large Marketing Pharmaceutical company based in West Sussex. Di manages the day to day running of all account’s procedures for clients, tenants, and contractors, encompassing processing landlord statements/payments, mandatory client tax reporting to the HMRC, payment of service charges and tenant receipts/refunds.
